On this, my last working day at Newtown Medical Practice, I would like to convey my deep appreciation to all those patients who have so kindly and generously left gifts, cards and messages expressing thanks for the care I have provided over the past twenty eight years. It has been both an honour and a privilege to practice as a GP in Wigan, to be part of the community and to have had the opportunity to look after patients from cradle to grave, through passage of time and generations. Thank you for having entrusted me with your care and for having often been the very best of teachers. My warmest wishes and affection to you all.
